Oregon Parks Offer Free Access to Active Duty and Disabled Vets

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008 @ 11:40 am | Armed Forces Branches, Free for Military, Veterans

The state of Oregon has a deal for you! Active duty on leave (with papers, special liberty papers would probably work as well) and disabled veterans can camp or use day parks for free. You can camp for 5 days a time in one park and 10 days a month in all state parks. If you need to camp more, you can pay the going rate, and consider living off the grid permanently :)
More details can be found on the Oregon State website here.

This only applies to state parks not federal, county, or parks not operated by the state parks and recreation department. Go enjoy your armed forces advantage!™
